Ps. DR. Petrus Agung Purnomo was born again at the age of 17 years. After having completed his education at Diponegoro university in Semarang , he devoted himself as a full time servant of God. The Gospel took him to all parts Indonesia, even to tens of countries in the world like: Malaysia, Hongkong, Myanmar, India, USA, Holland, West Germany, Finland, Russia, Japan, Australia, Estonia, Pakistan and many other.
In 1991, he started JKI Injil Kerajaan (Gospel of The Kingdom) church in Semarang and God has blessed the church with a tremendous growth.
By God’s grace, a sanctuary called Holy Stadium was built with the capacity of 12,000 seats in 2003 and dedicated in 2007. God has been blessing the church greatly so that it has become into a tool of change and transformation of society.
Rhema Radio, Christian School “Light of The Nation”, the Academy of Entrepreneurship, IMPACT - The School of God’s Movement (Bible School), Mawar Saron Legal Aid Foundation and many other ministries are the extension of the existing ministry.
Gospel of The Kingdom church sent missionaries to Vietnam, Cambodia and Palau in the Pacific islands, also sent mission teams to: Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, China.
